Overview

Build your first AI agent, in one afternoon

OpenClaw is an open source framework for building autonomous AI agents — systems that can take actions, run on a schedule, and remember what you talked about. In this session we get OpenClaw running on your own machine and connect it to live market data so you can ask investment questions in plain language.

The vibe is casual and hands on. By the end of the afternoon you will have a working agent on your machine, reachable from WhatsApp or the web dashboard, pulling live data on demand.

What you build

Three artefacts, yours to keep

A running OpenClaw agent

Installed on your own machine, wired to a model provider with a spending cap, and reachable from WhatsApp or the web dashboard.

Live IDX and SGX data on tap

The Sectors skill installed and answering real market questions — PE ratios, earnings growth, dividend yields — in plain language.

A cost model you understand

Token usage visible per query and a realistic sense of what these agents cost to run, so you know when one is worth building.

Syllabus

The Syllabus

01
Agents vs Chatbots

Understand what makes an agent truly agentic.

  • What makes an agent different from a chatbot: memory, tools, and scheduling.
  • How OpenClaw connects language models to real interfaces like messaging apps.
  • A practical look at where agents work well and where they still fail.
02
OpenClaw in the Wild

Watch a live agent query market data end-to-end.

  • Live demo of an agent pulling real IDX and SGX data.
  • Walkthrough of metrics like PE ratios, earnings growth, and dividend yields.
  • Track token usage and understand query-level cost trade-offs.
03
Get It Running

Install and configure your own local OpenClaw agent.

  • Install Node and OpenClaw, then run the setup wizard.
  • Connect a model provider with a spending cap.

FAQ

Still deciding?

Anything not answered here, email hello@stochio.site — a person replies, usually the same day.

No. The session is built for beginners and needs no AI or finance background. We install Node and run the OpenClaw setup wizard together, step by step, and there is help in the room if your machine argues back.

A laptop with Node installed. We send a short setup note two days before so you arrive ready to build rather than spending the first hour downloading things.

In person at Block71 Jakarta, Ariobimo Sentral, Level 8, Kuningan Timur, Setiabudi, Jl. H. Rasuna Said, Jakarta, from 1300 to 1700 (GMT+7). This one is not streamed — it is a hands-on meetup, and the room is part of the point.

You pay your own model provider directly, and we set a spending cap during setup so there are no surprises. We walk through token usage per query so you can judge the running cost for your own use. [TYPICAL MONTHLY RANGE — CONFIRM]

[RECORDING POLICY — CONFIRM]. Every worked file and the setup notes are sent to attendees afterwards either way.

Yes. Private sessions run on your own stack with the agenda adjusted to what your team actually needs. Email hello@stochio.site with your team size and we will send a plan.

Rather not build it yourself?

We also engineer the whole system for you.

With Creative Engine Consulting, we scope your bottleneck, build the engine around your stack, and hand it over running on your own accounts.
